The iOS and Android app are an extension of SAP Analytics Cloud desktop for viewers on their mobile devices. Users can consume their desktop analytical dashboards from their mobile devices and can be viewed anywhere. Giving viewers the most recent and relevant information about their business on the go.

What I did

As the UX Lead designer, I designed and managed the iOS and Android app from the ground up. I worked with Product Experts, Product Managers, and Development managers across multiple teams around the globe to define how to take the already built SAP Analytics Cloud Desktop platform and scale it down to mobile devices. When the iOS and Android app was well defined I lead and coordinated a team of 5 designers to integrate the new features being implemented on the desktop platform down to our native apps. Throughout the start of building the iOS and Android apps, we worked with several customers to validate and gain insight into how they expected their data to translate down and work on the go.

Scaling Home and Files content management down

Viewers need to be able to have the same organized content reflect down from the desktop, while still allowing their business structure and security of data to reflect on the mobile app. While users need to be able to access their folder structures mobile viewers usually want quick access to their dashboards. Having quick jump-off points on the home page allows viewers to explore their data quickly without having to always navigate through a folder system.

Creating Stories that look good on any screen

Stories are dashboards created by admins for their viewers. To be able to start viewing and interacting with stories on mobile you need to design and preview your layouts on the desktop. Thus allowing your content to scale nicely from large screens to phones and tablets.

Sharing and Collaborating

In-app collaboration allows for time to be saved by minimizing the ability to share content. There is also support for both in-app and external collaboration allowing the flexibility for businesses to use their preferred choice of communication.
